A land of misty desolate moors, towering craggy tors, ancient weathered standing stones--
It's a place where things aren't always what they seem.
Or where they seem.
Gotten ending 2 so far.
ReplyDeleteThe story's lovely, and Rowan's gotten me real intrigued. Visually, it is amazingly beautiful, especially Rowan. Though it was a bit hard to read in some parts as the words are too light and the background too bright.
Overall I enjoyed the story a lot!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Delete-- I worked very hard on the images and effects so I'm really pleased that you liked it.
It's a small game so there are technically, only 2 endings to get. LOL!
As for the light text/light background problem... I ran into the same thing when I used dark text. the text blended in with the dark backgrounds. The only other option was to make the text box less transparent, (less see-through.) I wasn't willing to do that because the text box blocks out too much of the image behind it.
It's very beautiful, the backgrounds, the music. Unfortunately, Rowan turned out to be female for both Christian and Christine (my test characters who chose the same answers - based on how I would answer in these circumstances). Guess I'll have to try a different approach to get other genders (games.renpy.org description promised 3 of them).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the game!
DeleteThere are indeed 3 genders. :)
-- The trick to seeing them is what you ask Rowan, and how you ask it.
Version 1.6 now available at link above. :)
DeleteThanks for the update :) Looks like I'm the only one having continuous trouble with the game. That's a damn shame! And I'm terribly sorry to bother you with this, but I have some more (Fraps & PrtScr refused to capture, so sorry for the quality):

This one occurs when trying to go to the main menu.
how do i find 1.6 download? i have 1.5 and it has an error but i already like it a lot and want to play moar! :D
ReplyDeleteVersion 1.6 now available at link above. :)
DeleteI reaaaaally wanna play this game >///< when I finish I will write my opinion of it.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited~ :3 thank you for making such a game.
I look forward to your review!
Delete-- However, don't expect too much. It's a tiny game I did on the fly.
It is much more difficult to get the third gender than I expected. I realize it's about what you ask, but I can't tell exactly which things cause female or male. My biggest question is the bath and bubbles, whether they effect anything. I like the game though. Thank you for making it.
ReplyDeleteThere are only two genders, M/F. LOL!
Delete-- The bath was something I threw in for a laugh. It doesn't actually affect anything.
Can someone please give me a tip to get the rowan for my male lead because i'm yaoi fanatic and really wanna see what rowan looks like as a male
ReplyDeleteI'm very much a Yaoi fan too.
Delete-- Fairies are CONTRARY. They go the Opposite way you expect them to, so the way to get a male Rowan is to treat him like a female. ♥
Thanks, sorry I've been trying other endings and also setting up a Sims 4 let's play on YouTube. XS
DeleteSorry, I accidentally deleted my previous comment. I rarely play a VN more than once. However this one I go back to again and again. This is a beautiful game. I noticed that in the list features you mentioned that there is a music room. The one I downloaded doesn't seem to have that. Perhaps I missed something?
ReplyDeleteTo find the Music Room, select: SETTINGS. At the bottom of the screen, on the Right, click on MUSIC.
DeleteI love sex change/trap/shemale games. I find there are never enough of them around. This one was really interesting , specially with its short game play.
ReplyDeleteI hope Morgan Hawke does another one like this maybe longer.
Love your games, thanks for making them.
I'm glad you enjoyed my game!
Delete-- You're right in that there are very few 'trap' games around. It was actually created for a friend who wanted one. However, since I'm not Japanese, there was no way I could do a Japanese style trap without making some kind of cultural blunder, so I went with the European version of a trap: a Fairy. Fairies are known for being gender-fluid and also for trapping mortals in their shadow worlds, so... Double-whammy; a literal and figurative trap.
Anyway... I'm glad you like my games!
